Death

Death means the term of life, bereavement, annihilation, dying and passing away from this world.

Life is a journey and man is moving towards the world of survival. Every breath is shortening life and every step is bringing man closer to his destination. Wise travelers worry about returning home after their work, they do not take heart in foreign lands and do not get entangled in the colors and mazes of the world unaware of their duties.

Our real destination is heaven. Life has been given to us not for laughter, food, sports, amassing wealth, building houses and bungalows, pursuing positions and pleasures, but for a great cause.

Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْاِنْسَ اِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوْنِ

And I have created the jinn and man only for My worship.
(Surat al-Zariyat, verse 56)

We must ask ourselves, did we live our lives according to God's will? While we see daily that death neither forgives a king nor forgives a beggar.

No one is safe from death. Death is a terrifying and painful stage. The man who has come into this world must return to his Lord. This is a reality that every human being turns a blind eye to and no one wants to die. Even in old age, people forget about death.

And if someone asks them to consider their age or old age, they are considered bad. However, the elderly people are closer to death than the young and should be prepared for death. But it is human nature to think that he will live forever. Even if all his friends leave this mortal world one by one.

Allah Almighty is our Creator. And HE knows who will see death when and where. The fact is that some people die in childhood, some in youth, some in middle age and others in old age. Some young people ride a motorcycle or a car but do not know that this is the last journey of their lives. The truth is that every living soul has to taste death. Some leave early and some later. But every human being must leave this mortal world.

Death is a reality that kills peoples, lifts the shadow from the heads of children, make the women widow, destroys worldly apparent support, tears the hearts, tears the eyes, destroys the settlements. It is about to disperse parties and groups, it is about to destroy pleasures and luxuries, it is about to water hopes, it is about to push oppressors, thieves and looters into the valleys of Hell. Death has no compassion for the little ones, no respect for the elders, no fear of worldly powerful peoples, no fear of kings or She (death) seeks permission from the cunning people to attend their court.

Death is such a fact that everyone in the world, whether he is a nonbeliever or a sinful person, even if he is an atheist, believes in death for sure. If anyone doubts death, he is considered a fool. All are helpless in the face of death.

Whenever death is commanded by God, it achieves the desired person by tearing down all worldly obstacles. Death does not show mercy to the righteous, nor does it forgive the wrongdoers. Death embraces those who fight in the way of Allah Almighty and does not spare even those who stay at home. Even those who prefer the eternal life of the Hereafter to the worldly mortal life fall asleep in the arms of death and even the madmen of the world are devoured by death. After death, the eye cannot see, the tongue cannot speak, the ears cannot hear, the limbs cannot function, but the human mind understands everything. There is a stage before death which is called intoxication of death (سکرات الموت).

Intoxication of death (سکرات الموت).

Sakarat refers to a state when a person is not in control of his mental power. It mostly refers to a state of drunkenness. However, it is also used in reference to extreme states of fury, passion, agony, sleepiness as well as loss of consciousness that results from pain. It is this last condition which is meant when the term refers to what may be experienced by a person who is just about to die. The term in Arabic is "sakarat al mawt," which means "the throes of death."

This condition is part of the fulfillment of death in which man is very helpless and it is a sign of suffering that tears come out of the eyes which is called Neer (نیر). The duration of Socrates' Alamut is longer and more painful for the infidels and the wicked than for the believers and those who are obedient to their parents.

The exit of the human soul is done in a gradual manner. In which Socrates Alamut, tears of Nair and then the expulsion of the soul from every cell of the body which starts from the toes to the eyes. Three stages are very difficult for every human being. The birth, death and the field of judgement.

Ways to reduce Intoxication of death (سکرات الموت):

Not loving the world and its vices, hypocrisy of wealth, avoiding sins, doing good deeds, strictly following the commands of Allah Almighty and worshiping can reduce the hardships of agony of death. While the resentment of the parents increases the severity of the torment of the grave.

After death, the human being status changes

The end of the relationship between soul and body is called death. If a person dies of an illness, he is called a patient during the illness. And everyone tries desperately to make the patient recover, even if they have to wait for years.

As long as the soul remains in man, his personality carries a weight and his name is well recognized, his awe and majesty is established. People get many benefits from its name. If he is the head of the house, then the sanctity of that house is not violated. But as soon as the patient's soul becomes constipated, his status changes radically. He is called dead instead of sick. And people are very quick to bury the dead so that the body does not rot. And people in society are slowly forgetting his name.

After that, man moves from mortal to eternal survival. At death the register of man's deeds is closed, and at death the door of repentance is closed and the time of retribution begins. The Holy Prophet (sws) said: Allah accepts the repentance of the servant till his last hour.

Some people who believe in the Hereafter do not neglect the preparation of death, they make humility their motto and live the life of this world with patience and gratitude. Do good deeds, observe the truth, bear witness to the truth. On every step they face difficulties, trials and tribulations. Such people are happy when the angel of death comes to take the person with him. Because for them this world is temporary and the desire to meet their Lord gives them a sense of joy in embracing death.

For those who have not prepared for death, the time of death is very severe and they are asking their Lord for more respite. But no one can deny the fact that at the moment of death one's faith is not accepted and there is no possibility of any extension.

This is the time when those who go astray are saddened. And they can't do anything. And the glory of the believer is that he often remembers death and as much as possible worries about the preparation for the Hereafter.

Death is inevitable, no matter how long a person lives, he has to leave this mortal world one day or another. The day death knocks on the door, the moment man has to leave the hand of life and embrace death. When a person leaves this place, his deeds (whether good or bad) stops. But there are three deeds for which the reward and good deeds continue. One of them is charity, the other is useful knowledge from which people are blessed and the third is the fortunate children who pray for it.

We should think that as we get older, we are actually losing our life time. Our Nafse Ammarrah (inner bad sense) and Satan seek to ruin the eternal life of the Hereafter by inciting man to sin and satisfying him with this temporary life, while the righteous servant of Allah, the enlightened man, far-sighted and wise man keeps on striving and seeks to improve eternal life.

What were the words of a few personalities before death:

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah's last words were "I am no more".

Princess of Wales Lady Diana said before her death, "My God, what's going on?"

The last words of Jamaican singer Bob Marley are inspiring: "Life cannot be bought from a friend".

زندگی کیا ہے عناصر میں ظہور ترتیب
موت کیا ہے انہیں اجزا کا پریشاں ہونا

What is life, Physical Appearance of some elements
What is Death, disbursement of these elements

لوگ اچھے ہیں بہت دل میں اتر جاتے ہیں
اک برائی ہے تو بس یہ ہے کہ مر جاتے ہیں

People are so good and they touch deep down of our heart
But they have a bad habit that they die

چھوڑ کے مال و دولت ساری دنیا میں اپنی
خالی ہاتھ گزر جاتے ہیں کیسے کیسے لوگ

The wealthiest leave their wealth all over the world
Those special people leave this world with empty hand
